Daycare Tip of the Week: FILL YOUR DAYCARE FAST

The Daycare Tip of the Week is truly one of my best kept secrets. It has ALWAYS generated the leads that I needed in order to fill new schools so that I could hit the ground running. It has also helped me to fill gaps that happen when my preschoolers head off to Kindergarten.

I know you are sitting on the edge of your seat to find out how.

Craigslist!

Such a simple site and yet it can mean so much for your daycare. We cover all the ins and outs of using craigslist to market your daycare safely and effectively in our full program. However, I will give you a high-level idea of what this FREE tool can do for you.

Three reasons why Craiglist is so good for your daycare:

Search Engine Positioning

Craiglist’s simple, text based design is very enticing to Google and other search engines, so your listing might rank very high in the search engines for awhile after you post your ad.

You Can Reach Your Target Audience Quickly

Most moms spend a lot of time on craigslist – buying and selling things their kids outgrow very quickly. Most moms are on tight budgets and will consider finding a less expensive daycare because they don’t have much extra money to burn. When I posted an ad on Craigslist, I usually had the phone ringing within the first day and more leads would straggle in for another couple weeks. These were very qualified leads since they knew what part of town they were willing to commute, the price range I posted for care, and the general idea of what services I provided.

Save Time

No website yet? You can post info you have to tell people over and over on the phone. This will save you a ton of time when pre-qualifying your leads. Be sure to include the 6 CRUCIAL ELEMENTS and you will get only parents that are a good fit for your daycare.

  • the part of town you are in (in the city section and in the body of the ad)
  • your price range
  • the age groups you have space for
  • contact info (put your phone number at a minimum)
  • what you have to offer (info about your program, schedule, etc)
  • a few great photos
